Md. Arif Raihan Maahi
Mr. Md. Arif Raihan Maahi is a social and Tech policy entrepreneur in Bangladesh. Mr. Maahi is the founder of the nation’s largest engineering youth association.
Mr. Maahi is the pioneer professional to introduce energy and environment education with capacity development programs among the youth in Bangladesh. He is an active advocate for green energy in the country. With his strong advocacy, protest and youth campaign the government postponed imposing taxes on solar panels back in 2017. He worked with international organizations like gIZ, UNDP on various climate change issues. Mr. Maahi was the keynote speaker on Youth Day for UN SG Envoy on Youth. Mr. Maahi is an ‘International Visitor Leadership Program’ alumnus of the U.S. State Department which was awarded for Education, Employability and Entrepreneurship program.
During the One Decade Mr. Maahi gave numerous speeches, appeared in TV programs and mentored thousands of youths from Home and Abroad regarding technology for social good. He is committed to serve the nation in coming years through innovations and evidence driven policy reform endeavors.
This strong civil society and entrepreneurial journey has given us an opportunity to explore many industries and gather experience on various development interventions. After serving in the government, private sector for a few years we have decided to establish a platform to serve the next generation development agenda through innovations and change communications. We are also aiming to support evidence driven policy advocacies and interventions. This is how a Civil Society Organisation’s leader progresses to an industry problem solving platform named ‘Devtale Partners’.
