Meet our Shoktikonna Chandrika Roy Tanu. Chandrika has completed my graduation in Computer Science and Engineering from North South University. She is currently working at a private organisation.

During her working period, Chandrika came to learn about data analysis and organising. She also has experience working as a freelancer and a home tutor. Chandrika believes taking any situation positively can make our lives easier. She also looks forward to overcoming her lacking and being a relentless problem solver. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our ShoktiKonna Syeda Ashifa Huda. Ashifa is a Mechanical Engineer graduated from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) in 2014 and completed her Masters in Renewable Energy from Dhaka University. 

Ashifa has been introducing her own designed products. One of them is Henna Stencils which she introduced on Eid in 2021. As she loves cooking and being an engineer she introduced Vacuum-Sealed “Boti” (Cutting/Chopping tool) which is yet to be in the market. She has experience working on projects like carbon footprinting, improved cooking stove in Atomic Energy Bangladesh. It is Ashifa’s dream to work in the Renewable Energy sector and lead the energy industry in Bangladesh. We are happy to have her on board!

Farah Naznin

Meet our Shoktokonna Farah Naznin Kongkon. Farah completed her B.Sc in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST). She is currently doing her M.Sc in Water Resource Development in IWFM, Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and working as a Research Assistant (RA) there.

Farah is interested in environment related works and likes to participate in different idea competitions and conferences. Her team ‘KORABAM’ is selected as one of the winners of CATALYTIC GRANT 2022 (Gobeshona Global Conference 2) where her team did a project about the sustainable development of the Mro community of alikadam, Bandarban. Also her team ‘ERBD’ has been selected as one of the winners of GREEN IB CHAMPION 2021 organised by Greentech foundation where her project was about Greening from Eco-Toilet. Poster on Rainwater Harvesting and women by her team ERBD was featured by South Asia Rainwater Network(SARNET). Besides, Farah likes to do designing and worked as a concept designer for ERBD,TCBC,O.Creeds for different projects. Her photography skills helped her secure 1st and 3rd place in different competitions. We are happy to have her on board!

Pranti Tawheed

Meet our ShoktiKonna Pranti Tawheed. Pranti has completed her graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Independent University, Bangladesh and is currently pursuing her MBA from University of Dhaka. 


Pranti worked as an assistant engineer in a consultancy firm from 2021 and 2022. She is interested in Supply Chain Management and Decision-making process in leadership. Her thesis topic was “Development of a Low-cost PC-based Single-channel EEG Acquisition System for Educational and Research Purpose” and one of her papers was published at the IEEE 9th Region 10 Humanitarian Technology Conference (R10-HTC) in October 2021 (link: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9641637). Besides, she enjoys painting Mandala and reciting Bangla poems. We are happy to have her on board!

Sadia Binte Aslam

Meet our Shoktikonna Sadia Binte Aslam. Sadia is a final year student in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from International Islamic University Chittagong.

Sadia is currently volunteering on “Coursera” as an English to Bengali translator and does freelancing on digital marketing sometimes. She recently got to visit a steam power plant and came to know  about the huge cost they pay to bring gases for fueling from other countries. She feels If we can implement and increase our renewable sources, our country can grow economically as well. From her desire to learn new things and interest in the renewable energy sector, Sadia joined the Shoktikonna Leadership Cohort. Besides, she loves reading, writing, tinkering, watching videos on  YouTube and learning new languages.  Despite all the barriers of inequality and bias regarding her gender, university, language(Chittagonian) she wants to move forward and make her dream come true. We are happy to have her on board!

Purba Biswas

Meet our Shoktikonna Purba Biswas. Purba has completed her B.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics from Jahangirnagar University and currently pursuing her M.Sc. from the same department. Her research area is Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Advanced Fluid Dynamics. 

Purba’s first research paper was published on IJSH on “Prediction of Electric Energy Consumption using Recurrent Neural Networks” during her undergraduate period. After that she has worked on a project report on “Analysis and Prediction of Solar Energy Consumption Pattern using Machine Learning.” Despite the curricular barriers, Purba managed to work on logical development and theoretical mathematics. She was also active in different co-curricular activities including athletics, dancing, singing, writing stories, volunteering in social work, debating, attaining model united nation conferences, mathematical Olympiads, research projects. She identifies taking responsibility and performing duties are the superpowers of her. She also desires to work on renewable and green energy technologies using ML & AI. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our Shoktikonna Chowdhury Sadeeya Naimah. Sadeeya is currently a 4th year student in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT). Her undergrad thesis is on Machine Learning focusing on enhancing transient stability during fault conditions in weak grids. Besides, she is also interested in using ML in medical science.

Sadeeya has been participating in extracurricular activities besides her academic activities. She is one of the executive members in the mechanical sub-team of IUT Mars Rover-Team Avijatrik. She has an interest in Computer-Aided Design. Also, she participated in few ideas and tech-related competitions. Sadeeya wants to work on renewable energy and associate her research interest with it which is mainly ML and AI. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our Shoktikonna Tabassum Hasan Tanisha. Tabassum completed her graduation in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She is currently working as an Assistant Engineer in Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited.

Tabassum believes CO2 emission reduction and fuel diversification are some of the focal points in achieving the SDGs and thus she is eager to learn about it more and implement them in the energy sector. Although she identifies herself as an introvert, she doesn’t want her weakness to hinder her professional growth and so she looks forward to learning leadership skills from the Shoktikonna Leadership Cohort. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our Shoktikonna Mst. Rumi Akter. Rumi completed her graduation in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

Rumi worked on several projects during her undergrad period. Her thesis was on “Effects of high penetration of LED lighting on the power distribution network”, since the use of LED  (Light Emitting Diode) is increasing day by day, she found it interesting to work on. While studying in her final years, Rumi came to know about  renewable energy sectors, nuclear power, solar power etc and that made her join the Shoktikonna Leadership Cohort to enhance her knowledge more. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our Shoktikonna Sumaieta Tasnim. Sumaieta is a final year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) and currently doing her thesis on Photonics.

Sumaieta has been an active participant in debating and public speaking. She is the co – founder of her school’s debating club. Later on she continued her debating journey at her university also with IUTDS. Besides, Sumaieta has been working as a volunteer in a Chattogram-based Non-Profit Organisation: Ogrograhi Foundation which  works to tear down barriers in sexual and mental health. She has also organised fundraising programs for the education of underprivileged children of Chattogram. Apart from her versatile works, Sumaieta loves to travel, participate in sports and try new things. She looks forward to making positive differences in the world in future. We are happy to have her on board!

Priti Halder

Meet our Shoktikonna Priti Halder. Priti has graduated from the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from  Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

Priti has attended several competitions. She and her team’s model boat achieved the title of the “Fastest Boat” in the Inter-university Model Ship Propulsion Competition. During her final year of undergraduate, she came across a course where she learned about the use of different renewable and green energy sources to propel ships and how a mere change in propulsion system can have a more significant impact on the environment which eventually led to her interest in the renewable energy sector. Besides, Priti is a blue belt in Taekwondo and volunteered  in several self-defence workshops for female students. We are happy to have her on board!

Sadia Shameem

Meet our Shoktokonna Sadia Shameem. Sadia has completed her graduation from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in the Department of Chemical Engineering

Sadia has been an environment enthusiast from her childhood. During her undergraduate  thesis on  “Study of Infrared Cookers with various pot and shield arrangements” she came to learn about different cookstoves, and their emission rates towards the environment and their thermal efficiency and environmental impact with IR cookers. We also worked in Benchmark Solutions, which is a consultancy firm specialised in services like energy audit, environmental consultancy, energy and environment management, air quality monitoring and modelling, process safety & risk engineering, etc. During her working period in the energy audit and environment management sections, she got to learn more about  local garments and dyeing factories. Sadia is concerned about the vulnerability of climate change in our country and so wants to prioritise renewable energy and its development. We are happy to have her on board!

Wasifa Rahman Rashmi

Meet our Shoktokonna Wasifa Rahman Rashmi. Wasifa is an undergraduate student pursuing B.Sc.(Engg.) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Islamic University of Technology (IUT). She is also interested in Biomedical Engineering and renewable energy.

Wasifa has been always curious to explore her potential and interest which has led her to participate in different extra curricular activities. Her achievements include third place in “Bikiron- a sustainable energy innovation challenge” organised by SREDA, second place in IDEAZ-EE, a paper presentation competition organised by IIT- Roorkee etc. She also became champion of RoboCAD in Wissenaire 2021 organised by IIT-Bhubaneswar. Currently, she is working as  the mechanical subteam lead of IUT Mars Rover-Team Avijatrik and is preparing for the European Rover Challenge. Wasifa believes it is never too late to learn and look forward to preparing herself for the upcoming challenges. We are happy to have her on board!

Tasnim Ahmed Sharmy

Meet our Shoktikonna Tasnim Ahmed Sharmy. She is currently pursuing her MBA from Institute of Business Administration, Dhaka University and completed her graduation from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Industrial and Production Engineering. 

Tasnim got to gather an ample amount of teaching experience from the beginning of her career. She has been assigned as an adjunct lecturer in Bangladesh University of Textiles for one semester and also taught school, college and university level  students and thus, it helped her sharpen her management and mass communication skills. She also worked at  EPIC Group, which is a RMG Manufacturing Company as a management Trainee and got to pay visits to dozens of industrial factories. She is also on her way to complete her micromasters program offered by MIT through edX platform in supply chain. Tasnim believes energy management is a well-focussed issue in the industries and she wants to contribute to the addition or conversion of renewable energy sources to the energy consumption sector combining her technical expertise with good managerial or leadership qualities. We are happy to have her on board!

Urmi Debnath

Meet our Shoktikonna Urmi Debnath. Urmi has completed her graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She is currently working as an Assistant Engineer in Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited and also a part of the effort to achieve Bangladesh’s milestone of 100%  electrification this year.

During her undergrad thesis on increasing efficiency of solar cells, she grew her interest in sustainable and renewable energy. She believes leadership is a coveted quality and can be honed in most parts thus she felt the Shoktikonna Leadership Cohort can be a great opportunity for her. Besides, Urmi wants to leave an impact in the power sector by helping to integrate renewable energy in day-to-day life. We are happy to have her on board!

Sawda Sharmin

Meet our Shoktikonna Sawda Sharmin. Sawda has completed her B.Sc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). 

Sawda did her undergrad thesis on designing an Isolated micro Grid with Renewable Hybrid Energy generation located in Bhasan char island. The motivation behind this thesis was to enhance the use of renewable energy sources to reduce the CO emissions and improve the quality of life of the Rohingya refugees. She is currently working on another paper based on automated demand response in a Res based smart grid. Besides her academic background, Sadia loves solo travelling, reading books and doing landscape photography. She is also a first degree black belt in Tae kwon Do. Sadia is passionate about researching further on the renewable energy sector and so she has joined the Shoktikonna Leadership Cohort to learn more about it. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our ShoktiKonna Zarin Tasnim Tishad. Zarin completed her undergraduate in Electrical, Electronic & Communication Engineering from Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST) and is doing her MBA from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).

She is currently working at World Health Organisation, Bangladesh which works to achieve the goals of SGD 3: “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”. Also she loves travelling and explore new things. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our Shoktikonna Nurun Nahar Erina. Erina completed her graduation in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She is currently pursuing my master’s degree from the same university.

Erina identifies herself as a fun loving person who enjoys activities like cycling, swimming, trekking etc. She also loves to read books. She believes countries like ours are in desperate need of a new source of energy following the pandemic and the war and every industry, from manufacturing to engineering should find a way to generate and use renewable energy. Jannatul Feardous

Meet our Shoktokonna Jannatul Feardous Nishi. Jannatul will be completing her graduation soon from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. She was the last Vice President of the science club, Astronomy and Science Society of RUET and is currently working as an intern in a research lab.

Jannatul has been very much eager about science. Her interest areas include  astrophysics, cosmology. Besides, she is also interested in archeology, criminology, Sustainable Development Goals in South Asian countries and environmental concerns like sound pollution, E-waste etc. Also, Jannatul loves travelling and thus she has travelled many districts around Bangladesh so far and wishes to visit the fourth highest peak of Bangladesh:  Jogi Haphong. She expects to grow leadership skills from the Shoktikonna Leadership Cohort and wants to work as a  physicist, researcher and a teacher in future. We are happy to have her on board!

Nusrat Jahan Rifat

Meet our Shoktikonna Nusrat Jahan Rifat. Nusrat completed her graduation in chemical engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 2019. She is currently working as a  process facilities engineer at Chevron Bangladesh, a business unit of world’s leading energy company Chevron Corporation.

Joining Chevron Nusrat got to work with some brilliant minds for my projects and attend on global platforms to share her working experiences like ASME, API.Currently they are working on reducing carbon footprints in their process plant design. Back in her undergrad life, she was the vice-president of Murchona, the central cultural club of BUET. She led a group of 30 students to  Biswamil, a global cultural meet in India in 2017 and became champion among 12 other countries. Nusrat believes, enjoying our responsibility can lead us to guide others. Besides, she loves travelling, especially trekking. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our ShoktiKonna Puja Saha. Puja completed her bachelor in Electrical Electronics and Communication Engineering from Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST) and master’s in Hydro and Renewable Energy from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee). She is currently pursuing her M.Engg in Advanced Engineering Management from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET).

Solar energy has been Puja’s major interest. She also did a project on Solar Car (MIST Sun Rush) during her freshman year in MIST. She aspires to work in the Renewable Energy Sector and looks forward to learning and exploring new things. We are happy to have her on board!

Nafhatul Shifa

Meet our Shoktikonna Nafhatul Zinan Shifa. Nafhatul has completed her graduation in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and is currently working as a Radio Service Specialist Engineer at Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd. 

Nafhatul believes clean energy should be more available and more research and other necessary initiatives  should be taken by the top authority. Thus she joined the Shoktikonna Leadership Cohort to learn more about the renewable energy sector. We are happy to have her on board!

Fariha Rahman

Meet our ShoktiKonna Fariha Rahman. Fariha completed her B.Sc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB). She is a part time content writer and does advocacy on mental health & empowerment of women in the STEM field. Having an immense interest in research, Fariha published 2 research papers during and after her undergraduation on Wireless Power Transfer Technology (Link to Fariha’s research paper: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9587543

During her internship at Grameen Shakti, Fariha got to know about renewable energy technology and its implications which made her eager to work in the renewable sector to achieve the sustainable development goals. We are happy to have her on board!

Sadia Tabassum Surovi

Meet our ShoktiKonna Sadia Tabassum Surovi. Sadia graduated last year from the department of Architecture of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET). Her areas of interest include “affordable housing solution”, “rural development”, “alternative building materials” and lastly “zero-energy building with passive design.” Her proposal of a sustainable model of agro – village to enhance the rural development of Bangladesh is on the way to be published at an international conference.  

Besides, Sadia engaged herself in various projects under the supervision of renowned architects and virtually collaborated with international organisations to gain practical experiences. Currently she is a team coordinator at one of the popular international architecture platform: “Architerrax”. We are happy to have her on board!

Maliha Mahjabin

Meet our ShoktiKonna Maliha Mahjabin. Maliha is a final year Electrical and Electronics Engineering student of Brac University and doing specialisation in Power and Planning to do in Electronics as well. 

Maliha is currently the  Director of Communication at BRAC University Electrical and Electronic Club. She also loves to do painting, crafting and attending extra curricular activities. She also desires to work in the renewable energy sector and thus she is excited to be with the Shoktikonna team. We are happy to have her on board!

Kanta Sarma

Meet our ShoktiKonna Kanta Sarma. Kanta has graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Assam Downtown University. She also did her internship in Indian Oil Corporation. 

Kanta has worked on several research papers. Her undergrad thesis was on “Friction Stir Welding” which is a way of joining two materials (including plastics) by generating enough heat in an eco – friendly way and her research on “Underwater friction welding” is going on. Besides, she also conducted research on Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) for joining with the help of Friction welding. It is about to get published In AIP ( American Institute of physics). Also, she also worked on various Aluminium alloys considering their strength analysis and temperature profile in terms of lap joints with Friction stir spot Welding which is under review in a scopus indexed journal. Currently Kanta is focusing on biodegradable nanoparticles and their mechanical characteristics as well as natural resources. We are happy to have her on board!

Khandaker Annatoma Islam

Meet our ShoktiKonna  Khandaker Annatoma Islam. Annotoma has graduated from Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and is currently pursuing her master’s in CSE from the same university. 

Annotoma is now working at Bangla CAT Ltd where she works in the ERP Administration sector. She worked on cyber security during her undergrad thesis. Also, she is currently working on Human Computer Interaction related work as a part of her Master’s project. Besides, Annotoma likes reading books, listening to music and travelling. We are happy to have her on board!

Naahi Mumtaj Rihan

Meet our Shoktokonna Naahi Mumtaj Rihan from BRAC University, EEE. Besides working at clubs and some other organisations as an intern, she is working on a satellite project under her University’s advisor. Also, Naahi has a great interest in aeronautical and aerospace engineering as well as Oceanography, Ocean and Marine Science. 

Naahi is currently working on her project which is based on Al/ML for plastic marine debris as she always wanted to do something to get rid of plastic pollution from oceans and the idea had also been sent to NASA space app challenge 2021. Apart from these, she enjoys travelling and landscape photography, trekking, hiking, forest, fountain and mountains. Naahi  dreams of  climbing all seven summits too. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our ShoktiKonna Subah Fairroz. Subah has completed her graduation in Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering from Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). She is currently working at Payra 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant Project and Rupsha 800 MW CCPP project under owner’s engineer of BCPCL and NWPGCL respectively.

Subah aspires to build her career in the energy sector. She also desires to be part of the country’s Net Zero carbon emission journey. Also, she has shared that she believes her greatest take away will be the networking she will make with other ShoktiKonnas and professionals from ShoktiKonna Leadership Cohort. Priyanka worked as a Transmission Line Engineer at ETCBL. She was awarded as the “Best V-Act Volunteer” from UNV Bangladesh for my voluntary contributions. Also, she has been active in humanitarian works and cultural events, organised various seminars and workshops and ran the MIST Environment Club as its president during her undergraduate period. She has been regularly participating in intra department debate competitions along with several national competitions including Cennovation, Climathon etc. Apart from her working experience, Priyanka likes to play chess, watch movies, travel on her scooter and stroll around the city. Riffat Jahan Juthi

Meet our ShoktiKonna Riffat Jahan Juthi. Riffat completed her graduation in Agricultural Engineering & Technology from Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU). She has been often called, “Shaikh Siraj”, “Krishi”, “Farm Engineer” for her chosen subject. But she is determined to make the highest use of her diverse degree and knowledge on agriculture, renewable energy, environmental engineering, food tech, water and soil conservation despite all the odds. 

Riffat has worked on renewable energy to develop a hybrid cooking stove which can be operated by biogas or solar energy that could be an alternative to traditional cooking stoves in rural areas. Moreover, she also wants discrimination free workplaces with better inclusivity of female engineers. We are happy to have her on board!

Mohsina Taz

Meet our ShoktiKonna Mohsina Taz. Mohsina is a final year Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at Brac University and doing double specialisation in Electronics and Power. Currently she is working on her final year design project “Smart Medical Bed for Patients Prone to Bed Falls” which is dedicated to  patients with impaired mobility, dementia, and Alzheimer’s.

Mohsina worked on integrating technology to combat social challenges like the significance of mental wellbeing and breaking the stigma associated with menstruation. Now she wants to enhance her knowledge on the renewable energy sector. Besides, she loves travelling, watching documentaries and anime. We are happy to have her on board!.

Lutfun Naher

Meet our Shoktokonna Lutfun Naher. Lutfun Naher completed her graduation and post graduation from the department of English of Jashore University of science and Technology. She has completed her research on a comparative study of Ecofeminism: Rabindranath Tagore’s Red Oleanders  and F. Scott. Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. She has been appointed as a Subject Matter Expert in Shikho Technology Ltd.

Lutfun Naher believes her greatest strength is problem solving abilities and analysing any situation from multiple perspectives. Her participation in various competitions and organising different events helped her gather self confidence and skills like teamwork, decision making and so on. Rubaita Younus Aurthi

Meet our ShoktiKonna Rubaita Younus Aurthi. Rubaita is currently in her 3rd year of Chemical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). Her desired working fields are bioenergy, development of biodevices and computational drug development. Rubaita loves to explore and express herself in learning and thus, she identifies team working, brainstorming and idea generating as her super powers.

Rubaita has been working with a professor of her department, Dr. Kawnish Kirtania, in his research group SEER, since 2020 on an energy related topic. Also, she got to be an intern at a UNESCO affiliated organisation where she trained juniors on how to do research and about SDGs. Besides her diverse experience from different backgrounds, Rubaita has also helped people from different majors in their projects and research. Her multilateral experience made her realise she could learn lessons every day. She tries to rectify herself so that she can become a better human being for the future. Sadia Jahan Rothi

Meet our Shoktikonna Sadia Jahan Rothi. Sadia has completed her BSc in Environmental Science from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and is currently pursuing MSc from the same university. She is also working as an Intern in a renowned research organisation, Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), BRAC University.

Sadia is an Environmental and Climate Activist. She is also the Board Director of a youth-led organisation called Eco-Network which works for providing environmental education and climate literacy. Due to her interest in environment and climate change, Sadia attended several training programmes including  “Jolkona- A Leadership Training on WASH and Climate Change” organised by WaterAid Bangladesh and Engineering Students Association of Bangladesh (ESAB), “Water and Climate Youth Advocate Training” by WaterAid etc. She became champion in an international competition – Climathon-2019. For her contribution in climate change and environmental issues, she received a Senate Award from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our ShoktiKonna Mitrasree Deb Mitro. Mitasree graduated in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2018. She worked as a Fullstack Software Developer for a year in the e-Government Resource Planning project. Currently she is working as an AssociateIT Consultant in the global section of   FUJITSU Research Institute, Tokyo, Japan. 

Mitrasree has an interest in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UX Research and has published one HCI paper in CHI 2021. She started an initiative called “Beyond the Hills”  during this pandemic with her friends for indigenous communities of Bangladesh which advocates indigenous rights and outreach their rich culture and heritage. Also, they have their own magazine: “NREE”. Besides, she loves to travel, explore art galleries and museums. We are happy to have her on board!

Meet our ShoktiKonna Liza Akter. Liza completed her BS in Geology from University of Dhaka. Currently she is doing her MS in Hydrology and conducting her research in hydrological study in the Northern Part of Bangladesh.

Mehnaj Tabassum

Meet our ShoktiKonna Mehnaj Tabassum. Mehnaj is currently in her junior year in Chemical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). She has been active in various co-curricular activities. Her multilateral journey includes different prestigious positions as Marketing Secretary of BUET Career Club, Vice President of the BUET AIChE Student Chapter and an active member of the AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) Executive Student Committee 2021-22.  She has also been working with the Children Film Society (CFS) Bangladesh as a programming head for five years and as an undergraduate researcher in AMBER (a research community built by one of her faculty Dr. Nafisa Islam) in 2021.

Apart from that, Mehnaj is the co- founder of a social venture  “ধূসর”, where they try to  break the taboo of sexual health education and provide safer and more inclusive knowledge about physical and psychological changes of adolescents. Mehnaj wants to create an effective way to solve the energy scarcity in our domestic necessities and so our mothers and housemakers can have a much easier and more peaceful life. We are happy to have her on board!
